Dance

Louise has worked in the dance industry for over three decades in a number of roles including dance practitioner, choreographer, dramaturg, and Producer. She also spent 12 years as Producer and Head of Inclusion for People Dancing where she worked in senior management and strategically on a number of programmes of work including early years dance, disability and professional and artistic development. She has worked alongside organisations such as Candoco Dance Company, Corali, Stopgap Dance Company and TIN Arts, FABRIC, DanceXChange, South East Dance, PDSW to name a few.

She works on a creative and strategic level, creatively producing works and projects - she is perhaps best known in dance for producing the internationally acclaimed 11 Million Reasons to Dance photography and film programme and campaign as part of the senior management team at People Dancing which is a national Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. She has also worked as a Consultant and Project Manager on The Working Group' Barriers to Progression & Employment in Dance for Disabled People research study funded by Arts Council England. 

As an independent producer she spent 3 years working with French born UK dance artist Mickael Marso Riviere where she produced a number of his small and mid scale shows, projects and events including Matches and HTTS at IDFB14 which also toured the UK and abroad. She regularly works as a producer for dance artists from across the UK, either with performance projects or community and participatory engagement. Artists have included Liz Clark - early years dance artist, Mafe Toledo - early years dance artist and Laura Dajao.  Louise is also a trustee for Second Hand Dance 

Theatre

Louise started her career in theatre as an actor in the 90's and spent years working in theatre in education and community and participatory theatre as a freelance facilitator, director and project manager. She worked within education, local authorities, the prison service, and schools as well as the local arts venues at the time.

She worked for over 8 years at Mansfield Palace Theatre directing the professional studio shows, and main stage youth and community theatre annual productions. On average she was directing and producing 3 productions a year as well as a number of community and participatory activities across the county. 

She was Assistant Director for New Perspectives Theatre Company for touring productions of Not Now Bernard and Mirkas Story and then worked across the East Midlands for many organisations as project manager, producer and or director. Organisations included Curve Theatre, Nottingham Playhouse, The Core, Corby, Royal & Derngate...

Louise currently works as a producer for a number of artists who work in theatre for creation and touring, including currently supporting the development of a new musical and a female led one woman show. She is also currently in R&D for her new work Me&You which hopes to tour in 2026.

Events

As well as theatre and dance, Louise regularly programmes and produces a number of digital online and in person events and activities. This includes networking events bringing people together online or in person, webinars for hundreds of online participants to deliver findings or news, discussion sessions to debate topics or agendas, symposiums with speakers and catering, conferences and non arts related events, and all as inclusive as possible. She has years of programming experience and knowing what makes a great, exciting- and inclusive - event. Recent events delivered include Beyond Barriers Webinar Event, Chronically ill Artists Network, Leadership in Action - Learning Disabled Leaders Event,
