11 Million Reasons to Dance
by People Dancing 

11 Million Reasons to Dance is a photography exhibition, film programme and participation programme which aimed to change perceptions and positively profile Deaf, sight impaired, neurodivergent and disabled people who dance. 

The work toured across the UK and internationally from 2014 - 2021. The films and exhibition toured to over 60 locations including Macau, Singapore, Helsinki, Barcelona with over 1 million people experiencing the work.

 

 As exec producer on this large scale project, Louise art directed and curated the making of the work and the international tour.

11 Million Reasons to Dance: Cymru

In 2019 - 2021 the 11 Million Reasons to Dance Cymru project took place working with multi agency partners across Wales. The aims of the project were to better support disabled dancers to progress into the industry and change perceptions that exist around disabled people who dance.

The work included the creation of a new Welsh exhibition working with New York Times published and internationally renowned photographer Philip Hatcher-Moore
